GB/T 18781-2023 Cultured pearl grading
Abstract
This document specifies the quality factors and grades of cultured pearls (hereinafter referred to as "pearls"), the pearl grading standards, the requirements for grading personnel, and the basic content of grading reports or certificates, and describes the inspection methods.
This document is applicable to quality evaluation activities related to pearl production and trade.
This document is not applicable to the grading of pearls that have undergone treatments such as irradiation and dyeing, or composite pearls.
The grading of natural pearls and pearl jewelry can be carried out with reference to this document.
Note: Composite pearls refer to pearls that are joined together with other objects and give people an overall impression.
