Abstract
This standard specifies the classification of highways, naming rules, numbering rules, as well as the requirements for highway technical grade codes, highway section codes, and public information identification and processing. This standard is applicable to the management and information processing of highways in industries such as transportation, public security, surveying and mapping, and land resources management; it is also applicable to the identification of highway routes and sections by public information carriers.
