This standard specifies the safety requirements for slides and their supporting facilities.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, installation, use, maintenance, modification, inspection, and operation of slides and their supporting facilities.
This standard does not apply to water slides, slides without passenger-carrying devices, and other slides that do not rely on gravity for descent.
