Abstract
This document applies to the environmental parameters and their severity classification of products used in fixed-use environments with climate protection.
The environmental conditions referred to in this document are limited to those that directly affect product performance, and only such environmental conditions are considered. This document does not specifically describe the impact of these conditions on the product.
This document does not include environmental conditions directly related to explosion hazards, microclimates within the product, flame extinction, and ionizing radiation, nor does it include other unforeseen environmental conditions. The occurrence of unforeseen environmental conditions may be a special case. This document does not include building standards or equipment covered by laws or regulations.
Other documents of IEC 60721-3 provide conditions for fixed-use in environments without climate protection, portable and non-fixed use, use in ground vehicles and ships, storage and transportation loading and unloading conditions, as well as microclimates within the product.
This document provides a limited range of environmental conditions, covering a wide range of application fields.
