Abstract
This standard elaborates on various factors related to the voltage durability test of electrical insulation materials and systems, describes the voltage durability curve, lists the test methods and their limitations, defines the terminology of voltage durability, and provides guidelines for evaluating the sinusoidal AC voltage durability of insulation materials and systems based on the test results.
This standard is applicable to the durability evaluation of insulation materials and systems under AC voltages with a frequency of 20 Hz to 1,000 Hz.
The test principles used in this standard are also applicable to voltages of other waveforms.
