Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements for sterilized or non-sterilized rubber examination gloves used to prevent cross-infection between patients and users during medical examination and diagnosis, as well as for handling contaminated medical materials. The gloves have either a smooth or textured surface. This standard sets out the performance and safety requirements for rubber examination gloves, but the safe and correct use of examination gloves, the sterilization process, and subsequent handling and storage are not within the scope of this standard.
