GB 5009.300-2025 The Determination of L-carnitine in Foods National Standard of Food Safety
Abstract
This standard specifies the determination method of L-carnitine in food.
The first method, spectrophotometry, is suitable for the determination of L-carnitine in infant and toddler foods (excluding infant formula foods for special medical purposes, including hydrolyzed formula, extensively hydrolyzed formula, and amino acid formula) and dairy products.
The second method, pre-column derivatization high-performance liquid chromatography, is suitable for the determination of L-carnitine in foods (excluding infant formula foods for special medical purposes and formula foods for special medical purposes).
The third method, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, is suitable for the determination of L-carnitine in infant and toddler formula foods and formula foods for special medical purposes.
