Abstract
This standard specifies the structure and requirements of the path and space for telecommunications cabling designed in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801 and ISO/IEC 15018, which is used for information exchange within or between buildings.
This standard also affects the spatial deployment within buildings. This standard takes into account single-occupant and multi-occupant residential and commercial buildings.
This standard does not address the safety aspects of building design, fire protection measures, or telecommunications systems requiring special safety measures.
