GB 5009.36-2023 National standard for food safety: Determination of cyanide in food
Abstract
This standard specifies the determination methods for cyanide in food.
Method I: Spectrophotometry is applicable to the determination of cyanide in distilled spirits and their mixed drinks, edible alcohol, cassava flour, packaged drinking water, and mineral water.
Method II: Gas chromatography and Method III: Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry are applicable to the determination of cyanide in white wine, edible alcohol, grains, packaged drinking water, and mineral water.
Method IV: Ion chromatography is applicable to the determination of cyanide in distilled spirits and their mixed drinks, edible alcohol, packaged drinking water, mineral water, and beverages (made from almonds).
Method V: Flow injection/continuous flow-spectrophotometry is applicable to the determination of cyanide in distilled spirits and their mixed drinks, edible alcohol, packaged drinking water, and mineral water.
