Abstract
This document specifies the performance, general delivery requirements, and marking of unused silicone insulating fluids for electrical equipment, as well as their storage and maintenance, sampling, and individual material specifications. It also describes the performance test methods.
This document is applicable to the design, production, and inspection of unused silicone insulating fluids used in electrical equipment such as transformers, cable accessories, capacitors, and electromagnetic appliances.
Note: The maintenance of used silicone insulating fluids in electrical equipment is described in IEC 60944.
