This standard specifies the instruments and test methods for evaluating the corrosion resistance of metal materials used in outdoor salt-contaminated environments, regardless of whether the tested materials have permanent or temporary corrosion protection. This standard stipulates the conditions for the specimens to be cyclically exposed to neutral salt spray and "dry" and "wet" test environments. This standard does not specify the type of specimens or the exposure time.
