This document specifies the requirements for self-environmental declarations, including product-related descriptions, symbols, and graphics; describes the commonly used terms in environmental declarations and provides the conditions for their use; stipulates the general methods for evaluating and verifying self-environmental declarations, as well as the specific methods for evaluating and verifying the declarations selected in this document. This document does not exclude, replace, or otherwise alter the environmental information, declarations, or logos required by law, nor any other applicable legal requirements.
