GB/T 31971.3-2015 Ships and marine technology—Marine environment protection:performance testing of oil skimmers—Part 3:High viscosity oil
Abstract
This part of GB/T 31971 specifies the method for determining the quantitative performance data of oil skimmers when recovering high-viscosity oil, so that users can objectively judge, compare, and evaluate the design and performance of different types of oil skimmers. The method specified in this part is applicable to tests conducted in water tanks and requiring the control of the characteristics of oil and oil slicks. This part applies to all types of oil skimmers with dimensions within the range of the test water tank. The test procedures specified in this part provide comprehensive test results for the tested devices under specified control conditions and can be applied to one or more types of high-viscosity oil. For dedicated/embedded systems, the test procedures specified in this part are only applicable to oil skimming equipment that meets the test conditions, and are not applicable to the entire oil skimming system.
