Abstract
This standard specifies the quality indicators and testing methods for compressed air used for respiratory protection. This standard applies to self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatuses used for occupational protection and escape, as well as compressed air long-tube breathing apparatuses. This standard does not apply to compressed air for medical use, or compressed air used in diving and aviation breathing equipment.
