Abstract
This standard specifies the general requirements for environmental durability tests of external lighting and light-signaling devices of motor vehicles and trailers, test items (thermal cycle tests for headlamps and front fog lamps, general thermal cycle tests, thermal shock tests, thermal deformation tests, salt spray tests, dustproof tests, random vibration tests, waterproof tests, light distribution mirror intensity tests, tests for resistance to lubricating oil, fuel, and cleaning fluids, light source irradiation tests), applicability, equipment, test samples, test conditions, test methods, and result evaluation, etc. This standard applies to external lighting and light-signaling devices of motor vehicles and trailers of Classes M, N, and O (except retroreflectors).
