Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements for the classification, dimensions and weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging marks, and quality certificates of stainless steel wire ropes.
This standard applies to stainless steel wire ropes (hereinafter referred to as wire ropes) used in instrumentation and mechanical transmission, cables, slings, shock absorbers, and other applications requiring corrosion resistance.
