Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of bentonite. This standard applies to bentonite used in casting, metallurgical pellets, and drilling mud. This standard does not apply to processed products whose structure and components have been fundamentally altered by treatment with inorganic acids or organic substances.
