Scope
This document specifies the design and operating requirements that should be followed when using a plasma ignition system in pulverized coal boilers. This document is applicable to thermal power units with a capacity of more than 50MW, designed to burn bituminous coal or lignite, and using tangential or wall-type combustion methods in pulverized coal boilers.
