GB/T 21109.2-2023 Functional safety of safety instrumented systems for the process industry sector—Part 2:Guidelines for the application of GB/T 21109.1—2022

Scope

This document provides guidelines for the specification, design, installation, operation, and maintenance of safety instrumentation functions and related safety instrumentation systems as defined in GB/T 21109.1—2022.
Note 1: Appendix A (informative) has been organized. Except for the chapter and clause numbers preceded by the symbol "A", the rest of the chapter and clause numbers are consistent with those in GB/T 21109.1—2022.
Note 2: Appendix A includes materials from the main text of GB/T 21109.2—2007,
This is done to prevent all the provisions in the standard from being informative clauses, in order to comply with the standard writing rules.
Note 3: To make the best use of this document:
——When using the guidelines for specific provisions, it is also necessary to refer to the guidelines for the corresponding chapters (for example, when viewing the guidelines for 5.2.6.1.3, also consider the guidelines for 5.2.6);
——When there are no relevant guidelines for specific provisions (for example, no further guidelines are provided), it may be considered to refer to the guidelines for the chapters when applicable.
Note 4: The examples given in the appendix of this document are just specific examples of implementing the requirements of GB/T 21109 in specific situations,
Users can choose the applicable methods and techniques according to their own circumstances.
