Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of phosphine fumigation for grain storage, air-tightness requirements, fumigation equipment and tool requirements, pre-fumigation investigation, fumigation plan formulation, determination of fumigation gas concentration and sealing time, dosage, preparation before fumigation, fumigation application, fumigation process control and inspection, effect inspection and air dispersion, phosphine aluminum residue treatment, safety protection and precautions, etc.
This standard is applicable to phosphine fumigation for insect control in grain silos or grain piles (stacks) that meet the required air-tightness standards.
