Scope

This standard applies to residual oils from atmospheric and vacuum distillation, thermal processing, catalytic and hydrocracking processes, such as samples meeting the F-R1, F-R2, F-R3 and F-R4 grades in the product classification of GB25989-2010, petroleum fuel samples containing heavy fractions from petroleum refining in the product classification of GB/T 29114-2012, and crude oil. This standard does not apply to samples with an asphaltene content of less than 0.05%, and for unstable samples that have already undergone asphaltene flocculation, the titration endpoint cannot be obtained.
