Scope
This document describes a test method for identifying textile fibers using a differential scanning calorimeter.
This document is suitable for textile fibers with a clear melting peak temperature and a melting peak temperature lower than the decomposition temperature.
Note: Differential scanning calorimetry is generally not used alone, but is used to assist in identifying fibers by measuring the melting peak temperature and melting enthalpy of the fibers.
