T/NXXH 013-2024 Scale-up of sheep farms, guidelines for sheep pen layout and architectural design

Scope

Scope: This document specifies the design requirements for the selection of sites, overall layout, construction of sheep sheds, supporting facilities and equipment, green fodder supply, and greening of the site for large-scale fattening sheep farms. This document is applicable to the design and construction of fattening sheep farms with a scale of more than 500 sheep under the indoor feeding model, and is not applicable to the design and construction of sheep breeding farms (sites) primarily based on grazing. Main technical content: - Fattening sheep farms refer to specialized venues for fattening meat sheep under the indoor feeding model. - In the clean path area of the farm (site), dedicated roads are used for the transfer of healthy sheep and clean items such as fodder. - In the dirty path area, dedicated roads are used for the transfer of non-clean items such as garbage, feces, and diseased or dead sheep. - Waste materials include straw padding, soil padding, feces, carcasses, and garbage generated during the production of meat sheep. - Harmless treatment refers to the process of eliminating pathogens carried by diseased animal carcasses or products and related materials through incineration, burial, high-temperature treatment, or other methods to protect human and animal safety. - Site selection should comply with the regional socio-economic development plan and land use development plan, and the farm (site) should not be built in the prohibited breeding areas designated by national and local regulations. - The site should be located in the downwind or sidewind direction of the prevailing annual wind direction of the nearest residential area. - It should meet the requirements of NY/T 682 for hygiene and epidemic prevention. - The site should be located in a high, dry, wind-sheltered, sunlit area with good ventilation. - The site should have sufficient space for the harmless treatment of feces and urine and the biosafety treatment of wast
