Scope

This document specifies the instruments and equipment, specification of samples, measurement steps, and data calculation for determining the hardness coefficient of coal by the crushing method.
This document is applicable to the determination and calculation of the hardness coefficient of coal when the coal sample size is 20 mm to 30 mm. When the coal sample size does not meet the requirements of 20 mm to 30 mm, the hardness coefficient can be determined and calculated using coal samples with a size of 1 mm to 3 mm.
