Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the method of measuring irradiance on a plane using instruments (hereinafter referred to as the "instrumental method"), including solar radiation in nature, concentrated solar radiation, and radiation generated by laboratory light sources.
For the measurement of solar radiation in natural climate aging and accelerated natural climate aging, the instrumental method includes continuous measurement of total solar radiation, total solar ultraviolet radiation, and solar (ultraviolet) spectral radiation, as well as the accumulation or integration of the aforementioned instantaneous measurement values to obtain irradiance.
For the measurement of radiation in artificial accelerated climate aging or artificial accelerated radiation exposure, the instrumental method includes continuous measurement of all or a specified wavelength range of ultraviolet radiation, visible spectral irradiance, and/or ultraviolet spectral irradiance, as well as the accumulation or integration of the aforementioned instantaneous measurement values to obtain irradiance.
This document does not address the measurement methods using blue wool standards, chemical radiation, polymers, or other film-based dosimeters.
