Scope

Main Technical Content: This document specifies the protection requirements, maintenance requirements, quota requirements, and habitat management for the maintenance and management of wildlife habitats. This document applies to the maintenance and management of wildlife habitats in the Shanghai area. Other types of wildlife habitats can refer to this standard for implementation. 1. Regarding the terms and definitions of "wildlife" and "habitat", this document does not require defining any terms or definitions. The definition of "wildlife" is referred to in the "Technical Guidelines for Surveying Terrestrial Wildlife and Their Habitats Part 1: Guidelines" (GB/T 37364.1-2019) as "wild animals that breed or mainly inhabit on land, including those that rely on water bodies for reproduction but still spend most of their time on land". The definition of "habitat" is referred to in the "Technical Guidelines for Surveying Terrestrial Wildlife and Their Habitats Part 1: Guidelines" (GB/T 37364.1-2019) as "the environmental conditions on which wildlife depend for survival, consisting of a certain geographical space, soil, plants, and other biological and non-biological factors". 2.
