Scope

This document specifies a general test method for determining the impact strength of thermoplastic pipe materials in a simply supported beam test. -- Method A: Use a notch-free specimen, and express the results as the percentage of specimens destroyed compared to the total number of specimens. -- Method B: Use a single-notch specimen, and express the results as the impact strength. -- Method C: Use a double-notch specimen, and express the results as the impact strength. This document is applicable to the determination of the impact strength of thermoplastic pipe materials in a simply supported beam test.
