GB/T 44851.2-2025 Road vehicles—Liquefied natural gas(LNG) fuel system components— Part 2:Performance and general test methods

Scope

This document specifies the performance requirements for components of liquefied natural gas fuel systems and describes the test methods for system components, including general requirements,
hydrostatic strength tests, leakage tests, resistance to over-torque tests, bending moment tests, continuous operation tests, corrosion resistance tests, oxygen aging resistance tests, over-voltage tests, non-metallic material immersion tests, vibration resistance tests, and brass material compatibility tests.
This document applies to the vehicle types defined in GB/T 3730.1.
This document does not apply to the following:
a) gas cylinders;
b) fixed-installation gas engines;
c) fixed components of containers;
d) electronic fuel control systems;
e) filling ports.
Components not covered by this document shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant standards and subjected to corresponding functional tests.
Unless otherwise specified, the pressures mentioned in this document are considered gauge pressures.
The working pressure of natural gas used as fuel in this document is 1.6 MPa. The pressure is adjusted by an appropriate factor (proportion) to adapt to other working pressures. For example, for a system with a working pressure of 2 MPa, the pressure requirement is multiplied by 1.25.
