This standard specifies the terms and definitions of heat balance testing for electric arc furnaces, heat balance testing, material balance, and heat balance calculation methods.
This standard is applicable to heat balance testing and calculation of three-phase electric arc furnaces with a capacity of more than 30 tons in the steel industry. It can also be used as a reference for direct current electric arc furnaces and electric arc furnaces in other industries.
