Terms and definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 1.1 Thin skin melon (Oriental melon), also known as Eastern melon, cantaloupe, or pear melon. It is a vine-like herbaceous plant with dark green leaves. Both the fruit and seeds are relatively small, and the fruit skin is soft and prone to cracking, with poor storage and transportation. The flesh is thin and has a fragrant aroma. 1.2 Thick skin melon (Musk melon), also known as Western melon, Hami melon, or cantaloupe. It is a vine-like herbaceous plant with lighter-colored leaves. Both the fruit and seeds are relatively large, and the fruit skin is thick and hard, with better storage and transportation.
