Scope

This document stipulates the contents of the engine logbook and the ship's bell record book, the recording requirements, the storage requirements, the format and layout requirements, and the printing and production requirements. This document is applicable to all Chinese-flagged sea-going vessels and domestic coastal vessels with a gross tonnage of 500 or a main engine total power of more than 750 kW, which are powered by internal combustion engines or electric motors. Other Chinese-flagged ships may refer to and implement it accordingly.
