Scope

This procedure specifies the procedures and equipment for obtaining, mixing, and processing representative samples from volatile fuels, which are used in tests related to volatility to determine their compliance with product specifications. This procedure applies to fuels with a dry vapor pressure equivalent (DVPE) of between 13kPa and 105kPa, including fuels containing oxidized compounds.
