Scope

1.01 In order to standardize the application of fiber optic sensing technology in the structural health monitoring systems of bridges, tunnels, and other transportation projects, improve its utilization efficiency and the design, construction, and maintenance management level of structural health monitoring systems, and promote the intelligent and scientific construction, operation, and management of transportation structures such as bridges and tunnels, these guidelines are hereby formulated. 1.02 These guidelines are applicable to long-term and short-term, overall and local health monitoring of bridges and tunnels, and can provide reference for the health monitoring of structures such as road surfaces, roadbeds, slopes, and port docks.
