Monitoring Methods 6.1 Fixed Monitoring Points The monitoring of fixed monitoring points requires conducting a general survey first to record whether any mosaic disease has occurred in various cassava varieties (genotypes/lines), recording the number of diseased plants and the total number of surveyed plants, and calculating the incidence rate. The results are entered into the "Fixed Monitoring Point Cassava Mosaic Virus Disease Survey Form" (Form B.1). Based on the results of the general survey, a focused investigation is conducted on varieties (genotypes/lines) with mosaic disease. For each diseased variety (genotype/line), 5–10 plants are selected for investigation and recording. The occurrence of mosaic disease on each cassava plant is observed and graded, and the incidence rate and disease index are calculated. The disease index is entered into the "Fixed Monitoring Point Cassava Mosaic Virus Disease Incidence Survey Form" (Form B.2). 6.2 Random Monitoring Points The disease information of main cassava varieties is collected using the five-point sampling method. Three fixed plants (numbered sequentially) and three random plants are selected at each point, totaling 15 fixed plants and 15 random plants. The occurrence of mosaic disease on each cassava plant is observed and graded, and the incidence rate and disease index are calculated. The data is entered into the "Main Cassava Variety Area Mosaic Virus Disease Incidence Survey Form" (Form B.3). 6.3 Monitoring Frequency and Content Observations are conducted throughout the entire growth period of cassava. Monthly surveys are conducted from one month after planting to harvest. The survey content includes the incidence rate of cassava mosaic virus disease, disease index, affected area, variety, cassava growth stage, pesticide application, dosage and timing, and site conditions. 7.
