Scope: This standard specifies the origin, characteristics, features, and yield level of the rice variety Jigeng 515. This standard is applicable to the variety identification of Jigeng 515. Main technical contents: 1. Variety origin: The variety was bred by the Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2006. It was selected by crossing "Jigeng 88" as the female parent and "Jigeng 101" as the male parent. Its original code was 2010TK59. It was approved by the Jilin Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2016 with the approval number Jilin Rice 2016006. 2. Variety characteristics: It has a compact plant type with erect sword leaves. The plant height is 111.0 cm, and the stem and leaves are green. It has strong tillering ability, with an effective number of panicles per hectare of 3.66 million. The grain is oval, with the palea and palea apex being yellow. It has sparse husks, and the thousand-grain weight is 25.0 g. The panicle length is 18.3 cm, with a curved panicle type. The main panicle has about 205 grains, with an average number of 129.2 grains per panicle, and a seed setting rate of 87.5%. According to NY/T 593-2013, the rice quality meets the quality requirements for third-grade edible Japonica rice varieties. It is a medium-late maturity variety with a growth period of 141 to 143 days and 14 leaves on the main stem. It requires an effective temperature of ≥10°C for about 2,850°C.
