Scope

This standard specifies the method of determining the effective cadmium content in acidic soils using calcium chloride extraction and a graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometer. This standard is applicable to acidic soils with a pH value of less than 6.5, as well as to the determination of the effective cadmium content in soils with a pH value of 6.5 to 7.0.
