Scope

This standard specifies the testing methods for the harmlessness of protective gloves (hereinafter referred to as "gloves"), glove sizes, wearing and removal times, flexibility, water vapor permeability, water vapor absorption, water resistance, and grip performance.
This standard applies to general testing methods for industrial protective gloves.
This standard does not apply to protective gloves for firefighters, protective gloves for medical use, and special protective performance testing methods for protective gloves.
Note: Special protective performance refers to the protective performance provided against specific types of hazards, such as mechanical hazard protection, chemical hazard protection, etc.
