Scope

This document describes the methods for determining the fluorine and chlorine content in copper concentrates, including ion chromatography (Method 1) and potentiometric titration (Method 2).
This document is applicable to the determination of fluorine and chlorine content in copper concentrates. The measurement range of Method 1 is: fluorine content (mass fraction) from 0.005% to 0.50%, and chlorine (mass fraction) from 0.010% to 0.50%; the measurement range of Method 2 is: chlorine content (mass fraction) from 0.050% to 4.50%. When the chlorine content is greater than 0.05%, Method 2 is used as the arbitration method.
Note: The chlorine measured in Method 1 of this document refers to the chlorine extracted by acid leaching.
