Scope

This standard specifies the methods for determining surface residues and residual iron on cold-rolled steel plates and strips. This standard is applicable to the determination of surface residues on cold-rolled steel plates and strips by the weight method, and the determination of residual iron by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. The range of content determination is: residues from 100 mg/m2 to 3,000 mg/m2; residual iron from 10 mg/m2 to 500 mg/m2.
