GB/T 36935-2025 Footwear—Conversion of sizing systems

Scope

This document provides three shoe size conversion tables covering the main shoe size systems (world shoe size, European shoe size, British shoe size, Chinese shoe size, Japanese shoe size, Korean shoe size, and American shoe size). All tables are based on foot length measurements, which are the foundation of any shoe size identification system. The shoe size conversion tables contain the following information:
Table 1 - Adult shoe size conversion table;
Table 2 - Adult shoe size recommendation (short form);
Table 3 - Children's shoe size conversion table.
Note: Due to the fact that each shoe size system has been developed differently over the years with varying definitions, none of them have been formalized into official documents, and there is a lack of solutions for shoe size conversion issues. Tables 1 and 2 can provide consumers with a useful guide.
