Scope

The manufacturing supervision and inspection applies to the manufacturing of the following products: (I) pressure vessels that are manufactured as a whole or in sections (pieces) and delivered from the factory; (II) pressure vessels that are welded or bonded on-site or manufactured on-site; (III) pressure vessel heads; and (IV) pressure-bearing components of pressure vessels that are delivered separately and connected by welding. Article IV: Installation supervision and inspection applies only to the installation of medical oxygen chambers. Modification and major repair supervision and inspection applies to the following situations: (I) modifications that change the structure of the main pressure-bearing components or the operating conditions (operating parameters, contained medium, or use), and require pressure-resistance testing; (II) major repairs that involve the replacement, straightening, or patching of the main pressure-bearing components, as well as the welding of shell joints, and require re-performing post-welding heat treatment or pressure-resistance testing.
