Scope

This standard applies to the following engineering drawings of various specialties, including building general plans, architecture, structures, water supply and drainage, HVAC, and electrical systems: design drawings at all stages of new construction, renovation, and expansion projects; as-built drawings of existing buildings and general plans; and general design drawings and standard design drawings. This standard applies to drawings produced using the following methods: computer-aided drafting and manual drafting. In addition to complying with the provisions of this standard, building architectural drawings must also comply with the current national standards and the drawing standards of various specialties.
