Scope

In order to standardize the planning, construction, and maintenance of urban rail transit projects, ensure the safety and operational efficiency of urban rail transit, and achieve people-oriented, technologically mature, safe and practical, and economically reasonable objectives, these standards are formulated. Urban rail transit projects must comply with these standards. The planning, construction, and operation and maintenance of urban rail transit shall meet the requirements of safety, hygiene and health, environmental protection, resource conservation, public safety, public interest, and social management.
