Scope

In order to unify the technical requirements of anti-seepage lining projects for irrigation channels, improve construction quality and management level, and give full play to the benefits of the project, this standard is formulated. This standard is applicable to the planning, design, construction, monitoring, and management of anti-seepage lining projects for newly built, renovated, or expanded irrigation channels, water supply channels, and water diversion channels. Anti-seepage lining projects for irrigation channels shall adhere to the principles of local adaptability, economic rationality, durability, safe application, and convenient management, reflecting concepts such as greenness, ecology, and energy conservation. They shall actively adopt mature new technologies, new materials, and new processes to continuously improve the technical level of anti-seepage lining for irrigation channels. In addition to complying with this standard, the construction and management of anti-seepage lining projects for irrigation channels shall also comply with the provisions of relevant national standards currently in force.
