Scope

This document specifies the accuracy requirements, allowable deviations, inspection rules, and drawing annotations for spherical worms and worm wheels.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacturing, procurement, and acceptance of straight-profile spherical worms, plane-enveloped spherical worms, double-cone enveloped spherical worms, and involute helical enveloped spherical worms with a shaft intersection angle of 90° and a center distance of 50 mm to 1,250 mm, as well as their paired worm wheels. Other types of spherical worms and paired transmission components should be implemented in accordance with this document.
