This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, and methods for determining the soluble lead and cadmium content in daily-use ceramics using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of trace lead and cadmium soluble content in daily-use ceramic vessels that cannot be accurately measured by flame atomic absorption spectrometry when in contact with food. The determination of lead and cadmium soluble content in other daily-use ceramic vessels can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
