Scope

This specification is formulated to implement the national technical and economic policies in pile foundation design and construction, ensuring safety and applicability, advanced technology, economic rationality, quality assurance, and environmental protection. This specification applies to the design, construction, and acceptance of pile foundations for buildings (including structures). In the design and construction of pile foundations, comprehensive consideration should be given to the engineering geology and hydrogeology conditions, the type of superstructure, the function of use, the load characteristics, the construction technical conditions, and the environment. Local experience should be valued, and the conceptual design should be focused on, with reasonable selection of pile types, pile construction processes, and footing forms, optimized pile layout, and resource conservation. Construction quality control and management should be strengthened.
