Scope
This standard specifies the test method for the primary biodegradability of surfactants. This standard is applicable to the determination of the biodegradability of anionic surfactants with sulfonic and sulfuric acid groups, surfactants with a single EO chain of 3 to 40 and a total EO chain of 6 to 60 in polyoxyethylene groups, alkylglycoside surfactants, cationic and amphoteric surfactants, fatty acid surfactants, surfactants with rich foam, and surfactants that can effectively reduce the surface tension of water. This standard is also applicable to the determination of the biodegradability of the above-mentioned surfactants in detergents.
