Scope

This document specifies the interchangeability of mechanical connections between tractor trucks with traction rod connectors installed at the front and lower part, and center-axle trailers; the requirements for vehicle combinations and vehicle interchangeability markings, etc.
This document applies to motor vehicle trains composed of tractor trucks with traction rod connectors installed at the front and lower part, and center-axle trailers.
This document does not apply to special motor vehicle trains where the traction rod connectors are installed at the rear of the tractor trucks and equipped with closed coupling devices that can be extended and expanded.
Note: Motor vehicle train models that comply with the requirements of this document (see Appendix A) are not interchangeable with motor vehicle train models that comply with the requirements of GB/T 41656.
