Scope

This document specifies the safety and performance requirements for the design and testing of non-dedicated bicycle luggage racks installed with or without tools, and dedicated bicycle luggage racks installed on fully assembled bicycles. It also provides instructions for the use and maintenance of such luggage racks. This document applies to luggage racks installed above and near the wheels of bicycles. It does not apply to permanently fixed luggage racks and portable luggage racks (for example, non-permanently fixed handlebar bags and baskets). This document does not include toy shelves intended for installation on children's bicycles within the scope of GB 14746.
